Ways to pay for your entry fee into DES/Ohio USSSA FP Events:
    • Pay with a credit card thru the USSSA website under your manager profile.
    • Snail mail to Double Eagle Sports – PO Box 2283 – Westerville, OH. 43086. Must be paid three weeks in advance to keep spot.
    • Venmo to @ohiousssa-22. Notate event and date paying for in comment section.
  • Gate Fee

There is a prepaid parking/admission fee this weekend: Ohio USSSA has worked out an agreement with Riverside Park to buy out the weekend parking fee for the event. This means that USSSA will be collecting a flat rate upfront for the parking fee the complex normally charges each day to turn into the complex. The amount is $150 prepaid or $200 on the day of the event. Prepaid can be thru Venmo @ohiousssa-22. If you pay with Venmo, please note the team’s name and event that you are paying for your parking fees. If you choose to wait until the day of the event, it is $200 and can be cash, team check, or Venmo at the check-in table. This eliminates Riverside Park collecting $10 per day/per car for each day of the weekend. It also means no fumbling for passes/wristbands. Now everyone can come out to watch their favorite athlete play without worrying about stopping to grab cash on the way to the park. If you have 12 people or more drive to the event for the weekend, you have saved more than a day’s worth of parking charges. Several of the complexes where we host during the season are going to pre-paid gate or parking fees and just billing USSSA upfront per team along with the park rental fees.

If inclement weather cancels a partial or full day of the event, there will be a pro-rated refund of parking fees. If we do not play on Sunday at all, then a 25% refund of parking will occur.

These Banana rules supplement official USSSA rules.
If a situation isn’t covered, umpires may make calls based on the spirit of the game.
?

RULE ONE: Win the Inning, Get the Point.
• Every pool play inning = 1 point.
• Score the most runs ? win the inning ? earn the point.
• In the final inning, every run counts (ONLY if declared by the umpire beforehand).
• Home team walks off an inning. Inning ends immediately.
• Pool play may end in a tie.

RULE TWO: No Stepping Out.
• Step out of the box ? strike.
• One team warning.
• Umpires may allow timeout for injuries/equipment

RULE THREE: No Bunting.
• Attempt to bunt ? out

RULE FOUR: Batters Can Steal First Base.
• On ANY pitch — including passed ball or wild pitch.
• Stepping toward first = declaring your attempt.
• Once live, traditional softball rules apply.

RULE FIVE: No Walks Allowed.
Ball Four = THE SPRINT
• Hitter takes off running.
• Defensive players (1B, 2B, SS, 3B, C) must all touch the ball before it’s live.
• No need to possess it — just touch.
• Runners on base may advance at their own risk.
• Once live, traditional softball rules apply.

RULE SIX: No Mound Visits.
• No coach/catcher/player mound visits.
• Injuries & safety exceptions only.
• Unapproved mound visit ? pitcher removed

RULE SEVEN: If a Fan Catches a Foul Ball, It’s an Out.

• Unsafe/unruly fan behavior = ejection or relocation.
• Coaches are not fans.

RULE EIGHT: Golden Batter.

RULE NINE: EACH TEAM MAY PERFORM THREE DANCES OR ROUTINES WITH OR WITHOUT MUSIC.

Up to one minute in length any time after the inning has started. As a group or individual culminating in a pitch in an inning (batter must be in the box before starting and batter must stay in the box ready for the pitch).
