    COH – Inaugural Strike Out Pediatric Cancer Event – May 16-17, 2026, Lou Berliner Park – Columbus, OH.

    This event will be a 5 g/g featuring 4 pool games seeded int0 a single-elim bracket!

    This event is open to 11u, 12u, 13u, & 14u teams. We do have an USSSA All-American Games tryout scheduled on May 16th at 5 pm. We should have the event finished in time if any tournament participants would like to attend the tryouts afterwards.

    Event Info: This event will feature 4 Sat pool games seeding into a Sunday Single-Elim bracket. Reach out to Mike Craig-Ohio USSSA if you want to be put on a wait list in case an age group is filled.

    Awards: Champion and runner-up will pick up to 12 Rings along with a team award for each team. Team awards are typically a team plaque or banner. We normally also award 3rd place medals if more than 12 teams enter an age group.

    Additional Info: This event is also a USSSA National Championship qualifier for the top two finishing teams with an unpaid berth to a USSSA National Championship of their choice.     Points Race Info: This event earns team points in our National/State Points Race-for-the-Rings program. This program is a state, regional, and national program that uses the USSSA point system to determine the winners of these custom rings.     Ohio All-State Games: Teams also get to nominate players for our All-State Games August 8, 2026, in Marion. OH. The top team will have 5 selections, then runner-up will have 4, 3rd place will have 3 each and the remaining teams will have 2 player nominations.     NOTE: YOUR SPOT IS THE EVENT IS NOT SECURE UNTIL PAYMENT IS RECEIVED IN FULL. ALL PAYMENTS ARE LISTED PRICE-NO DISCOUNTS FOR VENMO OR CHECK. ENTRY FEE DEADLINE IS 21 DAYS PRIOR TO THE EVENT. AT THE 21 DAY MARK, TEAMS WILL BE DROPPED FROM THE EVENT.
    Ways to pay for your entry fee into DES/Ohio USSSA FP Events:
    • Pay with a credit card thru the USSSA website under your manager profile.
    • Snail mail to Double Eagle Sports – PO Box 2283 – Westerville, OH. 43086. Must be paid three weeks in advance to keep spot.
    • Venmo to @ohiousssa-22. Notate event and date paying for in comment section.
  • Admission

    Berliner Park charges a $5 daily parking fee for all automobiles. Campers are $15 daily and have to be parked in the Gary Ogle lot in front of fields 1-5. Overnight camping is not permitted. This charge is for everyone who enters the complex including coaches.

    The parking charge goes back into park improvements like the turf infield surface the athletes get to play on each weekend. USSSA has no control over gate or parking fee policies of the host complex.
