Event DetailsThis event is our inaugural Northeast Ohio – St. Jude’s Swing-4-the-Kids event. This event is open to 10u-B/C, 12u-B/C, and 14u-C teams.
Format: All age groups with the exception of 12u-C will feature 4 Saturday pool seeding games into Sunday single-elim bracket play. We will run a consolation game for the 12u-C teams who are eliminated in their first game on Sunday. There could also be some cross-over pool games or one large pool if numbers dictate. These guarantees are always weather permitting.
Awards: Top 2 teams in each division will pick up individual medals with team awards. Awards will consist of 12 champion and 12 finalist medals. If we have more than 12 teams in an age division, we will add 3rd place team and individual awards as well. Team awards may be a plaque or team banner.
Merchandise: There will be a merchandise pre-order for the event consisting of t-shirts. There may be a few items onsite for sale as well consisting of tournament merchandise and other items. After the event, teams will have the option to purchase customized champions merchandise shipped directly from UTP.

A portion of the proceeds from this event will be donated to the St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital in Memphis, TN. Look for other ways to contribute to the cause closer to the event.

Ohio All-State Showcase: Teams also get to nominate players for our new All-State Showcase August 3, 2024 in Marion, OH. The top teams in each division get a minimum of 4 player nominations and the remaining finishing teams will get at least 2 players for nomination. 2024 Ohio USSSA Race-4-The-Rings
Points Race Info: This event also earns team points in our Race-for-the-Rings program. This program is a state, regional, and national program that uses the USSSA point system to determine the winners of these custom rings. This is a newer program for Ohio USSSA at the state level but a team from Ohio did win the Regional and National rankings in 2023. 2024 USSSA National Championships Qualifier
Additional Info: This event is also a USSSA National Championship qualifier for the top two finishing teams with an unpaid berth to a USSSA National Championship of their choice. Event Details
Event will have 4 age groups. 14u and 12u will both have A/B divisions along with separate class C division. 14u and 12u are $500 for a 5 g/g. 10u and 8u will be for B/C teams and will be 4 g/g for $450. Contact state director, Mike Craig, for more details on the class C divisions or other info like coach-pitch rules, etc.
